the Guitar Suite.com : Fingerstyle TAB and MP3s

Below are some songs that I've written in TAB and MP3. I'm not the greatest recording technician so my apologies for the subpar quality. I recorded these on Audacity, which is freeware. It's an incredible little program for the right price. You can download it here.

"Roadtrip"

A song I wrote in the car on a trip down to Zephyr Hills, Florida at about 5 am watching the sun come up on I-95.

"The Balcony"

I wrote this one about a club I used to hang out at at VA Tech. I think it's still there but has a different name now...I'm not sure.

"A Day with You"

This is for my wife, Jeanine. She rocks the Kasbah and I think she's swell. The song really doesn't do her justice but it's fun to play nontheless. Hope you like it.

"The Mary Song"

There's no Mary really. I don't know why I named it that except that when I wrote the song it had lyrics. I rewrote the melody for fingerstyle. It's my hardest to play so forgive my mistakes.

"A New Flower"

This song I wrote my bud, Kevin when he was getting married. It's kinda the story of him and his wife, Kathy. I actually use this one in the Composing section of this site as an example of one way to write for fingerstyle acoustic.

"Three Sisters"

Basically I had three ideas for different songs and I was trying to figure out modulation as best as my feeble, little mind could comprehend. This is what I came up with. Three (at least) phrases that I tried to tie together using modulation.

"Carousel"

No idea what inspired this one really. but after it was done I needed a name and the melody reminded me of riding a carousel. So I said sure, that'll work.

"Aidan's Lullaby"

I used to play this to my son, Aidan, while he was in his crib. Amazing kid.
