The importance of practicing guitar
Few guitar players actually consider and learn how to practice. But it's really important if you want to make the most of the time you spend practicing guitar. So when you take guitar lessons, one thing you need to make sure your instructor teaches you is how to practice. I know that sounds a little ridiculous but you should ask him or her to give you at least a lesson on actually how to practice guitar.
In this section, you will learn some very useful tips and techniques so you improve with each guitar practice.
Topics for guitar practice
- What are your goals?
- What's the plan to reach your guitar goals?
- How do you know you are improving and whether you are on the right path?
- How will you set up your guitar practice schedule?
- During your lesson or your guitar practice, are you paying attention to your guitar playing?
In the Guitar Practice section, I'm going to teach you how to take what you learn in your guitar lessons, take that lesson and develop goals for your playing. I'll also give you some tools you can use to get the most of your guitar practices.
If you are more serious about really taking steps to improve your guitar playing or want to find a program that is worthwhile, take a look at Learn and Master Guitar. Steve lays out all the lessons you need in a very intuitive way. I've been recommending and reviewing guitar lessons for about 5 years and Learn and Master Guitar BY FAR is the one that seems to live up to the hype. People really seem to learn from it.
